When Bjorn, a city dog, relocates to a rural farm, he wastes no time in immersing himself in his new surroundings.

Featured in a new TV commercial by Purina NZ’s Tux dog food, crafted by the strategic and creative agency The Enthusiasts, Bjorn’s journey commemorates the brand’s 70-year legacy of being made in New Zealand.

Bjorn’s curly white coat quickly becomes speckled with mud—from his paws to his baby blue bow—as he chases quad bikes, herds sheep, and joins in with the farm dogs.

“It’s the tale of our unexpected hero discovering his inner Kiwi dog,” explains Jamie Hitchcock, Creative Partner at The Enthusiasts. “Earning the respect of the farm dogs and finally being embraced into the pack—literally, Bjorn Again! It’s about Tux nurturing the Kiwi spirit in all our dogs, no matter their background.”

Mark White, Head of Marketing at Purina NZ, emphasizes that while Tux is renowned for nourishing New Zealand’s farm dogs, it also holds a significant presence in urban areas. The goal of this advertisement is to celebrate the shared qualities that unite these two environments.

Martin Yeoman, Strategic Partner at The Enthusiasts, elaborates, “Tux has a rich tradition of compelling storytelling, and we aimed to craft something with universal appeal—a dog tale that resonates with everyone and hopefully captures their hearts.”
